Our Day Care provides a safe, secure and social place for your Camper to romp when he wants to romp, rest when he wants to rest and find a lap when he needs one.
During our enrollment evaluation we verify every dog is current on vaccinations and has the necessary social skills to be a good Camper. We also determine the Camper’s play style for assignment to the appropriate playgroup when he visits us.
Playgroup assignments change based on which Campers are in Camp on any given day. Basically, dogs are assigned to playgroups based on size and temperament. Each playgroup has a separate inside resting and play area in the Barn. Our day care team is with Campers throughout the day to monitor their activities. Groups rotate during the day between their spot in the Barn and the play yards – ensuring plenty of romp and rest time.
Popular activities during play time include games of chase, standing on top of the boulder to be king or queen of the play yard, jumping into the “pool” or playing in the sprinklers on a warm day, and studying the occasional bird or butterfly that flies over the play yard. For some of the older Campers, just hanging out and watching the “youngsters” frolic makes for an enjoyable day.
Day Care
Sleep Overs can be arranged for regular day care dogs. Overnight
care is available 365 days a year for just one night or for as many days
or weeks as you need.
Our sleep over area accommodates
10 dogs a night who are looked after
by a person who stays with them
throughout the night.
And when a Camper needs to tidy up, he can get a Bath, which includes herbal ear wash and a nail trim.
For regular examinations and vaccination updates our Visiting Vet program takes care of Campers during their play day. The staff of Altimira Veterinary Hospital makes “house calls” to Camp Monday through Friday saving you a trip to the vet’s office.
